New CEO Milcobel will 'turn every stone'

Dairy cooperative Milcobel appoints Peter Grugeon as the new CEO as of June 1. This after former CEO Nils van Dam stopped abruptly earlier this year.

Instead, Milcobel now opts for an experienced professional. With experience at Greenyard, Puratos, and Vandemoortele. Grugeon is returning to the dairy sector after his interim position at label company MCC.

Chairman Betty Eeckhaut emphasizes the newly appointed CEO's experience in a statement: ''Peter's dairy experience is a strong asset. He understands the challenges that both dairy farming and the dairy sector are currently facing.''

Grugeon comments on his approach: ''We need to turn every stone to ensure that we ultimately achieve a good bottom-line result and make enough profit to effectively provide that added value to our members. A market-based milk price is the foundation for this.''
