Lactalis Leerdammer, like the other Dutch processors so far, increases the August milk price significantly. However, the private cheese maker adds slightly less than what FrieslandCampina and A-ware do. Organic supply cooperative Eko-Holland also raises the advance milk price.
The producer of Leerdammer cheeses raises the milk price for the new month by €1.16 per 100 kilos to a base milk price of €47.96 per 100 kilos. A maximum of €50.56 per 100 kilos can be achieved, as shown in the Boerenbusiness milk price comparison.
These prices apply at least with an annual delivery of 1 million kilos. However, those who deliver more than 100,000 kilos per month (1.2 million kilos per year) can still receive an additional 80 cents per 100 kilos.
Eko-Holland raises the prices for both regular organic milk and biodynamic (bd) milk by 50 cents per 100 kilos.
With an annual delivery of 1 million kilos, the organic milk price then amounts to €62.05 per 100 kilos. The bd milk price amounts to €67.05 per 100 kilos.
