Arla Foods increases the milk price for October just like FrieslandCampina, but slightly less than Dutch competitor FrieslandCampina. The tight availability and expensive milk fat are driving prices up according to Arla.
In the Netherlands, Arla's standard milk price increases by €2.14 per 100 kilos, for both standard and organic milk. According to the DCA Farmgate Milk Price Calculator, the standard milk price in the Netherlands amounts to a base level of €49.58 per 100 kilos. In practice, an additional 60 cents is added for various items that are also included in Arla's standard package. Additional supplements can amount to up to €3.60.
In Belgium, the base price increases by €2.06 per 100 liters, to €49.59 per 100 liters. Arla's organic milk price in the Netherlands also increases by €2.14 to €65.29 per 100 kilos. This price can further increase with the help of several supplements.
