After a nine-year tenure, Jais Valeur steps down as CEO of Danish Crown. Valeur will remain in place until Danish Crown has found a new CEO. Both the board of directors and Valeur himself have concluded that Danish Crown is in need of new leadership.
"Earlier this year, I informed Danish Crown that I do not see myself in the role of CEO of Danish Crown in the long term", said the CEO in a press release. Valeur will focus on leading the company temporarily until Danish Crown has found a successor.
Valeur announced his departure during the search for a new strategy for the cooperative. Danish Crown will announce a plan for this in the autumn. This new strategy accelerated the search for a new CEO. In addition to a new CEO, Danish Crown is also looking for a new CFO. The company expects to announce a name after the summer.
