Dairy company A-ware once again increases the milk price for August and exceeds the price set by FrieslandCampina for the new month. In Belgium, the processor increases the price twice as much as last month.
In the Netherlands, the standard milk price is increased by €1.35 per 100 kilograms to a base price of €48.00 (with an annual supply of 1 million kilograms and excluding VAT). A-ware remains below what FrieslandCampina pays out, but the gap is narrowing, as can be seen in the Boerenbusiness milk price comparison tool. The grazing milk price is slightly lower, but A-ware's maximum milk price for August is higher than FrieslandCampina's maximum milk price. A-ware's weighted average payout price also remains well above FrieslandCampina's guaranteed price.
A-ware likes to compare this price with the guaranteed price, while FrieslandCampina believes that comparison is not fair.
Organic Milk Price
A-ware's organic milk price is increased by 76 cents to €59.26 per 100 kilograms, putting the price above FrieslandCampina's organic milk price but below that of Eko-Holland and Arla.
The Belgian milk price is increased by €1.06 per 100 liters to €47.72 per 100 liters. This is excluding sustainability and grazing premiums.
In Belgium, according to the Belgian milk price comparison tool from Boerenbusiness, A-ware is ahead of Arla but slightly behind FrieslandCampina. Belgian processors Milcobelo and LDA have not yet published their August prices.
